This blog is for me, but you are also welcome.

What a crock

This is the first in what will likely be a long – long – series of Things I Have Bought That Have Been a bit of a Waste of Time.  Learn from me…

Adjustable weights

I am on a fitness drive (more about this later) and thought a set of adjustable weights would be the very thing.  It isn’t. Buy separate ones; too much faffing about changing the weight each time you want to do a different exercise.

Most of my clothes

I have seen two excellent pieces of advice about clothing which I never follow.

First –  always buy a complete outfit (rather than a single tee shirt or pair of trousers or whatever)

And second – make sure it fits exactly, getting it altered if necessary.

If I took any notice whatever of this,, I wouldn’t have seventeen random tops that don’t go with any bottoms, and everything wouldn’t be either too big or too small.

Fitbit

No idea how it works, although my fitness drive isn’t quite what it should be, probably. Sometimes when I look at it it isn’t telling me the time (which is what I really want it to do) because it’s giving me some random bit of information about sleep time or water count or something.

The first week I had it, it told me I’d met my fitness swimming goal (which I hadn’t set) when I’d walked in the rain from the car park to the station. It counts steps, but adds to the step count when I swing my arms. It’s added some steps while I’m sitting here typing this. Making it easy to meet my fitness goals 💪.
